This series covers a pretty impressive solo display by a Belgian F-16 at Duxford at the Jubilee Airshow. Was impressively loud and fast.
All of these were taken with the Olympus OM-D EM5 and Panasonic 100-300mm. Combination worked really well in this particularly situation due to the good contrast between the aircraft and the sky. Earlier in the day there was a grey Tornado against a grey sky which didnt fair so well. But overall if you are familiar with the ins and outs of the camera and its focusing system then you can get decent results.
Then a few as the F-16 releases flares…
Full afterburner in a climb, pretty impressive sound at this point.
Fast pass across the crowd.
